South Northants NHW EGM Minutes and Next Steps

Dear Colleagues,

The EGM held on the 29th April voted to disband the formal constitution that has governed the Support Team for a number of years and move to a more informal peer support model.

The minutes detailing the conversation and decision made by the attendees are attached.

Going forward this means:

1. We will now establish a Whatsapp group called  NHW Coordinators Group, S Northants .   The purpose of the group is to put all  the coordinators in direct contact with each other and to provide a forum for ongoing conversations about developing NHW and providing schemes with mutual support.  The groups administrators are Richard Houghton,  Lawrence Howes and myself

You are welcome to join the group, please email me at nick.hamp@gmail.com with your name and mobile number you wish to use.  Please note that by joining the group you will be consenting to share both your name and number with others.     

2.  Going forward there will be no more AGM meetings but face to face or teams meeting may be held periodically  if  members have topics they wish to discuss

3. In future our funds will be managed on our behalf by the NHW County Treasurer who also manages the funds for other districts within the County.  We will still have access to our funds with funding requests to be agreed by myself, Phil Renshaw, Tina Adey and Linda Hemming.  This was agreed by the EGM.

4. Future meeting notices and other written communications concerning South Northants will be sent out via the Alert System from either myself or Phil Renshaw.   The mail list previously held by Linda will be disbanded and the names deleted in order to comply with GDPR rules.   Please ensure that your Alert settings allow you to receive messages regarding NHW. 

5. Phil Renshaw and I will continue in our voluntary roles as Member Support Administrators for S Northants.  That means we will authorise new schemes being set up and continue to support coordinators with the management of their schemes on the Alert System.

Please do join up to the Whatsapp group, which I hope you will find beneficial and a space where you can seek and share ideas with others on how to further develop yours and other groups.
